Meet Pete Walker at London’s BFI

Back in the 1970’s director Pete Walker was responsible for some of Britain’s bloodiest horror films, and single-handedly kept a dying UK film industry afloat with psycho-chillers like House of Whipcord, The Comeback and Schizo.

In a rare appearance, Walker did a Q&A at London’s BFI Southbank on Thursday 12 March, in which one of his most shocking films, Frightmare, starring Walker’s favourite mistress of the dark, Sheila Keith was screened.

But that wasn't all. After the Q&A, there was an extremely rare chance to see his last film, the tongue-in-cheek whodunit, House of the Long Shadows, which teamed veteran horror stars Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and John Carradine.

Here's what Walker, and screenwriter Michael Armstrong had to say about Vinnie's role.
